BHP Group said on Monday that it expects to fulfill all obligations to customers regarding the supply of iron ore.
“Due to maintenance, Newman and Jimblebar had a slight impact on production, but it is not expected to affect the outflow from Port Hedland,” the company said.
BHP comments after speculation in China last week about problems at the Jimblebar ore processing plant. The company openly announces port service and maintenance at its Jimblebar and Newman mines in Western Australia, which has raised supply concerns.
