Due to the situation on the domestic market in Russia, Decree of the Government of the Russian Federation No. 1134 dated August 31, 2019 entered into force from September 1, 2019 to December 31, 2019, the amount of ferrous metal scrap exported to countries outside the Eurasian Economic Union was limited , and the volume of exports through customs formalities amounted to about 1.01 million tons.
The document also approved the rules for the allocation of quotas between foreign trade operators. The Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia will be responsible for the distribution of permitted exports of ferrous metal scrap between foreign trade operators, and the use of quotas will be carried out through a one-time permit.
