One of the leading Russian Mechel Mining and Metallurgical Groups summed up the results of production and sales for the second quarter and the first half of the current year.
The previous quarter is up to 693,000 tons. The production of ordinary coal by the company amounted to 1.53 million tons, which is 28.3% less than in the previous quarter. Meanwhile, in the first half of the year, the company produced 1.67 million tons of steel, increasing by 1.8% in annual calculus, while cast iron production decreased by 2.1% in annual calculus to 1.46 million tons. The production of ordinary coal by the company in the first half of the year amounted to 3.66 million tons, which is 27.9% less compared to the same period last year.
"Mechel" explained the quarterly reduction in the production of cast iron and steel, referring to planned repairs at the installation of continuous casting No. 1 of the Chelyabinsk Metallurgical Plant and on the rolling plot metallurgical plant.
In the second quarter of the currentHis year sales of the Coxing Cocke Coal concentrate decreased by 40.4% compared to the previous quarter to 633 thousand tons, and sales to third parties decreased by 65.6% compared to the previous quarter to 268 thousand tons for the specified period. In the first half of the sales of a coking coal concentrate, companies decreased by 15.1 percent compared to the same period last year to 1.69 million tons. The shipment of an iron ore concentrate in the first half of the year increased by 51.5 percent in an annual calculus of to 832,000 tons.
the sales of the coke of the company decreased by 15.3 percent in the quarterly calculation of to 408,000 tons in the second quarter of the current year, while in the first half of this year the coke sales decreased by 7.4 percent in the annual calculus up to 890,000 tons. In addition, sales of ferrosilication in the second quarter of the current year amounted to 18,000 tons.
in the first half of the year, the total sales of the company's varietal rental decreased by 6.4 percent compared to the same period last year to 1.14 million tons, and sales of flat rental amounted to 84,000 tons, which is 36.4 percent less compared to the similar period last year.
