Korea Zinc is likely to be a US $7.4 billion inter-project key metals plant located in domestic companies. The plant is slated to produce key base metals such as zinc, lead and copper, as well as precious metals and strategic minerals including antimony, germanium and gallium.

Commercial start-up is scheduled for 2027, Reuters reports.

Shares of Korea Zinc, the world's largest producer of refined zinc, rose 4.9% in after-hours trading Monday. The company's market value has grown by more than 58% since the beginning of this year.
