Mining enterprises of the Metinvest group in January-June 2026 reduced the production of iron ore pellets by 17% compared to the same period last year - to 2.717 million tons. The equipment was restarted in April, the group said in its official operating report published on July 31.
Output of pellets containing at least 65% iron decreased by 19% to 2.629 million tonnes. The production of pellets with an iron content of less than 65% more than doubled to 88 thousand tons.
The total production of iron ore concentrate in the first half of the year amounted to 7.763 million tons, virtually unchanged compared to 7.725 million tons a year earlier. However, the report table and press release page show 7.763 million tons. This figure is also confirmed by the total production volume for the first and second quarters - 3.882 million tons each.
The output of commercial iron ore products decreased by 5% - to 7.144 million tons. At the same time, the production of commercial iron ore concentrate increased by 4% - to 4.427 million tons. In the quarter, production of commercial iron ore products increased by 3% compared to the first1st quarter - up to 3.624 million tons. The production of pellets increased by 10% - to 1.422 million tons, and the production of commercial concentrate decreased by 1% - to 2.202 million tons
