The Chinese Ministry of Commerce has announced an increase in anti-dumping duties on imports of seamless steel pipes from the United States and the European Union. American manufacturers of pipes and pipelines for work at high temperatures and pressures are subject to anti-dumping duties in the amount of 101% to 147.8%, while rates for EU companies range from 57.9% to 60.8%. Adjusted rates entered into force on Friday.

China began introducing anti-dumping duties in the range of 13 to 14.1% on imported seamless alloy steel pipes from these regions in 2014 on the grounds that the goods were dumped into the Chinese market at prices below market.

The last decision followed the review of last year, which found that such dumping still exists.

Pipes from alloyed and high-temperature alloyed steel, as well as seamless steel pipes are mainly used in supercritical and supercritical boilers, as well as in pipes with steam water in power plants.
