Brazil has suspended an anti-dumping measure in relation to the import of hot rolled steel manufactured by metallurgical enterprises of Russia and China, the department for the development and regulation of foreign economic activity of the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation reports.

“According to Resolution No. 5 of the Executive Board of the Ministry of Economy of the Ministry of Economy of January 15, 2020, Brazil completed the process of assessing public interests, which began in October 2019, in connection with statements by national steel producers on the need to cancel the antidumping suspension that has been in force since 2018 measures regarding imports of rolled steel from Russia and China to Brazil, ”the report said.

Based on the materials of the public interest assessment process, the Ministry of Economic Development of Russia, together with interested Russian producers of hot rolled steel, in November 2019, Russian comments were submitted to the Brazilian Ministry of Economy.
