Czech media report that a third tender for the sale of Huta Czestochowa could be announced soon, as the contract was not signed with the winner of the previous tender Sunning well Steel Polska after the recipient did not receive 220 million zlotys in payment by the 2 months deadline last week. The trustee of the Czestochowa Metallurgical Plant, Mateusz Bienioszek, confirming this event, said that Sunningwell Steel Polska had applied to the court with a request to extend the term for concluding the sale and purchase agreement until November 30, 2020, and the final decision would be made by the commissioner judge.
The board of ISD Polska, the owner of Huta Czestochowa, filed for bankruptcy in arbitration at the end of June 2019. On September 4, the court declared liquidation bankruptcy of the metallurgical plant, rejecting two applications for the sale of the company in the pre-packaging formula for Sunning well International Polska or Cor ween Investments.
In April 2020, the recipient announced a tender for the sale of the assets of the metallurgical plant. The starting price was set at PLN 250 million. Eight organizations have requested access to the documents, indicating a high level of interest. However, since in the end no one joined the competition. In July, another tender was held, for which only one interested party applied - Sunning well Steel Polska. After the application deadline, Corween Investments' offer was also received along with declarations of recognition, despite the deadline. The judge's commissioner rejected these requests for lack of legal basis. On June 3, 2020, in the absence of applications for the first tender, the manager filed an application with the court to approve the terms of sale of the enterprise. By a decision of June 5, 2020, the commissioner judge approved the conditions of the competition. On July 28, 2020, the results of the Hutu tender were announced. At the court hearing, the trustee chose the only application that was received on time and met all the formal requirements, that is, the application submitted by Sunning well Steel Polska SA.
