The European Association of Shareholders and Traders Eurometal recently called on Valdis Dombrovskis, the new EU Trade Commissioner, to change protective measures on steel to protect the steel industry amid rising steel prices.
Eurometal indicated that it must take into account price changes over the past 18 months and the state of stocks in the port at the end of the quarter when deciding on EU measures to protect steel.
