Interpipe entered into an agreement to purchase the Romanian pipe plant ArcelorMittal Tubular Products Roman S.
A. from ArcelorMittal, the company said.
Closing of the transaction depends on obtaining permits from antimonopoly authorities and on foreign direct investment. Until these conditions are met, the companies will continue to operate separately.
The company clarified that this plant is not related to another Romanian pipe company ArcelorMitt al, which Metinvest previously planned to acquire.
