The Zaporozhye metallurgical plant "Zaporizhstal" in January-February of this year reduced the shipment of rolled products by 1.8% compared to the same period last year - to 406 thousand tons from 413.3 thousand tons.
According to its press release on Tuesday, steel production in the first two months amounted to 460 thousand tons (in January-February 2025 - 478.3 thousand tons), cast iron - 502.9 thousand tons (553.1 thousand tons).
In February, Zaporizhstal produced 253 thousand tons of cast iron, 225.6 thousand tons of steel, shipped 189.8 thousand tons of rolled products.
As reported, Zaporizhstal in 2025, it increased the production of rolled products by 15.2% compared to the previous year – to 2 million 794.6 thousand tons from 2 million 426.7 thousand tons. Steel production amounted to 3 million 212.2 thousand tons (in 2024 - 2 million 890.8 thousand tons), cast iron - 3 million 567.8 thousand tons (3 million 106.3 thousand tons).
Zaporizhstal in 2024 increased rolled products by 18.1% compared to 2023.
