The Central, Inguletsky and Northern mining and processing plants (GOK) of the Metinvest mining and metallurgical group, transformed into the United GOK (OGK), produced 16.7 million tons of 7.8 million tons of ore in January-June of this year.
According to the company, the united GOK exceeded the plan for operational efficiency in the first half of the year.
It is noted that the first six months of 2026 became a real test of stability for OGOC. Enterprises operated under conditions of power supply restrictions, shortages of railway cars, technological challenges and enemy attacks on production infrastructure. Despite this, thanks to the well-coordinated work of all services, it was possible to ensure the stability of production, promptly restore damaged equipment and exceed the plan for operational efficiency.
"This result was ensured by three main factors: the implementation of investment decisions, the greatest effect was brought by the development of gas generation and measures to reduce the detection rate; the introduction of effective production practices and the introduction of effective production practices.the work of teams to reduce the cost of production," the message states.
As reported, the United Mining and Processing Plant has iron ore reserves of 2.3 billion tons. According to the chief geologist - head of the group's mining department, Eduard Bespoyasko, even with one hundred percent of the design capacity of the plants, the work will last for at least half a century.
