The Sukha Balka mine (Krivoy Rog, Dnepropetrovsk region), part of the DCH group of Alexander Yaroslavsky, has commissioned two new iron ore mining blocks, which are planned to be developed in the spring.
According to information in the DCH Steel corporate newspaper on Thursday, for each production unit, the company’s specialists take into account the characteristics of ore occurrence and mining and geological conditions. After analyzing the data, technological solutions are used to ensure the most efficient production.
It is clarified that on March 13, block 110-116 in the Osnovnoye field on the seventh sublevel of the minus horizon was transferred to production; taking into account the characteristics of the massif, the classical method of extraction using scraper winches was used here. The block's reserves are estimated at 37.2 thousand.
