The Northern Mining and Processing Plant (Severny GOK, Krivoy Rog, Dnepropetrovsk region), part of the Metinvest group, has planned to increase the production of DR-rollings for the production of “green” steel and premium raw materials for the production of cast iron. and Kametstal, the program at SevGOK contains two projects: the modernization of the LURGI 552-A roasting machine and the construction of a flotation-finishing complex. After the implementation of the program, the Northern Mining and Processing Plant will be able to produce approximately 4 million tons of DR pellets per year. The company is considering the possibility of building a new continuous casting machine (CCM) for the production of slabs. The implementation of this strategic project will allow the company to produce new products, improve their quality, and also strengthen Metinvest’s competitive position in the sales markets. the volume of pumping sludge into the tailings dump in the process of enriching iron ore by 30%. Energy savings – 125 MWh per year. The project launch period is three years.
