According to customs statistics published by the Japanese Federation of ferrous metallurgy (JISF), in July of this year, the export of Japanese ferrous metallurgy amounted to 2.63 million metric tons, increasing by 4.4 percent in the month and decreasing by 9.2 percent in annual calculus.
In January-July of this year, the export of Japanese ferrous metallurgy amounted to 17.89 million tons, which is 3.8 percent less compared to the same period of the previous year.
As for the main export markets of Japanese ferrous metallurgy, in the first seven months of this year, the exports of ferrous metallurgy to South Korea amounted to 2.26 million metric tons, which is 20.8 percent less, while exports to China were reduced by 17.2 percent to 1.37 million metric tons. The volume of the port on Taiwan amounted to 1.19 million metric tons, which is 12.4 percent more, exports to Thailand amounted to 2.51 million metric tons, increasing by 2.2 percent, while export in the United States amounted to 657,086 metric tons, which is 9.5 percent less in annual calculation.
